E2E RESTIFIER FOR SAP version 2.3.0 has just been released and we’ve added two interesting new features.

Passing the SAP User with the Request

It is now possible to pass the SAP user with the request by configuring this in the SAP connection settings:

By selecting Authenticate through basic auth, you can enable a mode that allows to pass SAP credentials with each request via standard BasicAuth headers. This mode enabled, authentication is required for RFC execution and metadata.
Read more in our online documentation on Configuring the E2E RESTifier for SAP > Configuring the SAP Connection.

    New Response Cleaning Options

Per default, the E2E RESTIFIER trims the response fields of whitespaces and empty data. If you need the response to be untrimmed, you can add ~noclean as a query parameter to your request, e.g.

    curl http://localhost:3000/sap/ZGETCUSTOMERDETAILS?PARTNERNUMBER=0000008889&~noclean=whitespace,empty-values

    or

    curl -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"PARTNERNUMBER":"0000008889"}' 'http://localhost:3000/sap/ZGETCUSTOMERDETAILS?~noclean=whitespace,empty-values'
