How can one use GIT together with E2E development?

GIT supports concurrent collaboration quite well if the version controlled files can be merged easily. However, UML models are saved as XMI XML files. Such files are difficult to merge. Thus, collaborating on models has to be solved organizationally.

Like in any other version control tool, it makes sense to ignore some files in a Builder project. The minimal file set to be version controlled is:

    uml/*
    resource/templates/*
    jarfiles/*
    libs/*
    .e2ebuilder

To achieve this use the following ignore list:

    .$work/*
    repository/*
    bin/*
    testcase/*
    regressiontest/*

In order to check in items regarding testing, testcase/* and reressiontest/* may be required as well.
