    Dear Developers,
with this E2E Developer Newsletter we want to bring to your attention that since xUML Runtime version 2014.16 we no longer support Windows XP anymore.

Microsoft has decommitted Windows XP since April 8, 2014, and as a consequence we were forced to drop Windows XP due to technical implications. Using Runtime 2014.16 or higher, xUML services will refuse to start on Windows XP platforms. This also concerns Bridge version as of and Builder version as of

Please find below a list of operating systems that are supported by the E2E Bridge:

    • Windows®:
      • Windows 7
      • Windows Server 2012 R2
      • Windows Server 2008 R2
      • Windows Server 2003 (E2E Bridge 32 bit version only)
    • Linux:
      • openSuse Linux 11.1 x86 or newer
      • RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 x86 or newer

      • Ubuntu 12.04 LTS or newer
    • Solaris:
      • Oracle Solaris 10 x86 64 bit or newer

Please note that since E2E Bridge 6 only 64 bit operating systems are supported. You can find the most recent list of supported operating systems in our online documentation on

As Microsoft has announced support running out for other platforms, too, we hereby reserve to stop support for these platforms if necessary. Of course, we guarantee operating system support at least until the end of Microsoft’s extended support.

    Kind regards,
    Your E2E Support Team
