a new maintenance release of the E2E Bridge has been released. With this edition of our E2E Developer Newsletter we inform you about the latest features and bug fixes of the E2E Bridge software components. As usual, you find all details in our release notes that are provided in our Online Documentation.
But before going into the details of the release, we want to present the E2E RESTifier for SAP to you.
Meanwhile at version 0.3.2, the E2E RESTifier for SAP has been facing some real world scenarios, which lead to the discovery of some minor bugs. However, more feedback from real use cases would be highly welcome. In case you never heard of the RESTifier for SAP yet: the tagline is “Generate a REST interface for any BAPI RFC call in your SAP® system, and use it within seconds for your application, mobile, SaaS and IoT integration!“. The picture below illustrates how it works.
To learn more, you may want to watch a recorded webcast where we introduce the RESTifier (15 minutes each):
Please note that on all operating systems, E2E Builder and E2E Bridge of version 6.0 are distributed in 64bit only. For the development environment this means, that used client libraries (for instance for databases) must be 64bit as well. You have to install MagicDraw 64bit as well.
|Important note: Whether or not you are required to upgrade one or more of your E2E Bridge platform components may depend on a variety of factors. Please check the relevant release notes for details. Please pay special attention to the Builder Release Notes and Analyzer Release Notes, which list all dependencies between Builder / Analyzer and xUML Runtime.|
The release provides new features and improvements in different areas, as well as bug fixes. These are the highlights:
